Skype For Business Mac Client No Longer Login

Microsoft has released the new Skype for Business for Mac product on October 26, 2016, as a replacement for the old Lync for Mac IM client. On the 'General' preferences page, the product contains a 'Collect Logs' button. When I click that, nothing happens.

  1. The new client is, I’d say, a fair and equitable companion to the Windows Skype for Business client. There are some differences, and (as of now) a few limitations. But overall, I think our Mac customers will enjoy this client very much.
  2. A Skype for Business on Mac user sometimes sees a blank screen when a Skype for Business on Windows user shares the desktop in an IM conversation (peer-to-peer or group IM). If a user is not logged in to Outlook, presence information in Skype for Business on Mac does not update based on the Outlook calendar.
  3. Skype for Xbox One makes it even easier to invite the whole gang into your living room — no matter where they are. Get Skype for Xbox One For more information visit the support site for Xbox One.

Skype for Business on Windows or Mac provides a great online meeting experience with the latest in audio and video features, desktop sharing, and ease of use.

Important: To use Skype for Business, you need a Skype for Business or Lync account—typically the same user name and password you use when signing in at work or school.
