When setting up my Live/Outlook email account on my Macbook mail client I can IMAP connect the email and get access, however my contacts and calendar do not show up as options. They are not accessible. I can get at them from a browser, of course, but they don't even show up as options to 'turn on' when setting up the account on OS X.
Free Email Client For Mac
This is a killer for me. Without native access to contacts and calendar, local Outlook mail is of no use to me.
I even installed the Outlook email client and it too would not access my Calendar or People (contacts).
On my iOS devices this isn't a problem and both Calendar and Contacts show up and are accessible. On OS X it doesn't show up at all.
I was hoping to get off of iCloud email (which sucks because Apple likes to delete emails without notifying sender or receiver) and was hoping to switch to my Live email account. But without access to calendar and contacts this is a non-starter for me.
I'm running all up-to-date software and OS versions and my Macbook is less than 2 years old.
BTW: everything works perfectly on my Windows 10 PC gaming machine, but this is not my primary machine. Whatever is going on is specific to Mac / OS-X.
